Theft, Loud Music, Fire Alarm: Maple Grove Police Department Incident Report

The following synopsis of incidents occurred in Maple Grove Dec. 24-30, 2017 as provided by the Maple Grove Police Department. Additional details for burglaries, robbery, arson, and theft can be found on the city website crime mapping section.
11400 block of Fountains Drive. Report of shoplifter in custody. Officer responded, suspect arrested for theft and trespassed from business.
12000 block of 62nd Avenue. Report of unwanted person outside of residence. Officer responded, ex-boyfriend of homeowner’s daughter had left and was advised, he is not welcome at residence.
13800 block of Grove Drive. Report of a customer causing a disturbance. Officer responded and found the suspect damaged merchandise, which the suspect paid for and was trespassed from the store. The suspect companion was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
6300 block of Quinwood Lane. Report of occupied vehicle playing loud music and disturbing residents. Officer made contact and found two individuals who were talking and listening to music in the car. They were cooperative and went inside the building to continue their conversation.
11800 block of Fountains Way. Report of small amount of change and a carton of cigarettes stolen from vehicle where the lock had been punched in and wires cut. Incident is under investigation.
11800 block of Fountains Way. Officer responded to a fire alarm at place of business. Upon arrival there was a large amount of water outside and it appeared a sprinkler line had broken. The fire department arrived along with the key holder to access the building to shut the water off and assist with cleanup.
11200 block of 93rd Avenue. Report of gas drive off. Officer conducting follow-up, was notified by the employee that the individual had returned to the station and paid the outstanding charges.
13000 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of catalytic converter cut from delivery truck parked outside of business.
6200 block of Sycamore Lane. Report of unconscious person in business lobby. Officers responded and assisted with aid until ambulance arrived to provide further care and transport person to hospital.
11800 block of 80th Avenue. Report of possible domestic. Officer made contact and found occupants were having a disagreement but nothing physical had occurred and all parties agreed to avoid contact.
8000 block of Lanewood Lane. Report of two roommates involved in an argument; one party was throwing items around the home. Officer responded and found it was verbal only; both agreed to separate for the evening.
13000 block of 82nd Avenue. Report of several clothing items taken from home. No further suspect information.
13300 block of Maple Knoll Way. Report of offensive name used for Wi-Fi access in apartment complex. Officer advised individual to contact the service company to see if there were any regulations regarding usage of names.
12700 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of individual choking inside vehicle parked near business. Officers responded and administered aid until ambulance arrived to provide further care and transport victim to the hospital.
9900 block of Deerwood Lane. Report of one who had fallen. Officer responded and helped the uninjured victim to his feet. No further assistance needed.
15300 block of Grove Circle. Report of shoplifter in custody. Officer responded and the suspect was arrested for theft and trespassed from the store.
9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of employee’s keys stolen off counter by suspect who had been inside the store. Incident under investigation.
12700 block of 74th Avenue. Report of domestic. Officer responded and found verbal argument only, nothing physical. One of the involved parties agreed to leave the house for the night, no further assistance needed.
12400 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of clothing stolen by two individuals who fled the store. Officer responded, suspects were not located.
6300 block of Vinewood Lane. Report of loud party in room and assistance requested for eviction. Officer responded and the individuals left without further issue.
12900 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of window smashed out on vehicle but no stolen items. No suspect information.
7900 block of Kimberly Lane. Report of domestic. Officer responded and found it was a verbal argument only; no further assistance needed as one of the parties agreed to leave the home for the day.
During this time period there were 38 property damage traffic accidents and nine property damage injury traffic accidents.
