Vandalism, Customer Disturbance, Stolen Vehicle: MGPD Incident Report

A synopsis of some of the incidents reported to the police in Maple Grove during the week of February 4-10, 2018.

February 4

12400 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of several juveniles in lobby of business causing a disturbance. Officer responded and individuals were trespassed.

County Road 81 and Maple Grove Parkway. Report of vehicle in the ditch and possibly intoxicated driver. Officer made contact and the individual arrested for DWI.

8600 block of Valley Forge Lane. Report of wallet stolen from jacket left unattended on bleachers. No suspects. 

February 5

11200 block of 97th Place. Report of mailbox and garbage can damaged overnight. No suspect information.

6600 block of Lancaster Lane. Report of package stolen from front step. No suspect information.

February 6

63rd Avenue and Highway 169. Officer on routine patrol observed erratic operation of a vehicle on the roadway. Contact made with the driver who was arrested for DWI.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of fraudulent credit card activity. Incident is under investigation.

10400 block of Yorktown Lane. Report of individual in seizure. Officer responded and assisted until paramedics arrived to transport the victim to hospital.

11900 block of 91st Avenue. Report by business representative of concerns that customer may have passed out while on the phone. The caller said the individual had mentioned not feeling well. Officer made contact, individual found to be fine, had only lost phone connection. 

February 7

6400 block of Vagabond Lane. Report of residential burglary. Officer responded and found an unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight that was rummaged through and then access was made via garage door opener to the vehicle parked inside. No apparent loss and no suspect information. 

13600 block of Grove Drive. Report of customer refusing to leave business when employee could not offer assistance as requested. Officer made contact and advised individual to try another location. Person left without incident.

12200 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of possible assault. Officer made contact with intoxicated individual who stated he had been drinking and went outside for a smoke when someone hit him, unknown identity.  Medical care was refused. Officer transported the victim to his residence. 

February 8

12600 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of stolen vehicle. Officer made contact and found the individual’s car had been left running outside place of employment while finishing up at work and had been taken. No suspect information.

9300 block of Niagara Lane. Report of vandalism on vacant house. Officer responded and found graffiti painted on garage door. No suspect information.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of shoplifting in progress. Officer responded and two suspects were arrested for theft and trespassed from the store. 

February 9

Fish Lake Road and Weaver Lake Road. Officer investigating motor vehicle collision found driver was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was arrested.

6300 block of Vinewood Lane. Report of customer causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. Officer made contact and advised the individual how to handle their complaint and left without further incident. 

February 10

11800 block of Fountains Way. Report of gaming station stolen from room. Incident is under investigation.

16300 block of County Road 30. Report of vehicle stopped in roadway and driver slumped over steering wheel.  Officer responded and found the individual had been waiting for family member’s arrival to assist with broken down vehicle.  

12900 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of license plate stolen from vehicle. The license plate was recovered by a citizen who found it abandoned at a rest area. 

There were 37 property damage traffic accidents and one property damage injury traffic accident.
