A synopsis of some of the incidents reported to the Maple Grove Police Department
that occurred in Maple Grove during the week of Feb. 18-24, 2018.
11900 block of 73rd Avenue. Report of a female who acted strange as she entered the business and took photos. Officer made contact with the female who showed no signs of impairment and stated she had been talking to a friend on her phone.
15200 block of Territorial Road. Report of damage to mailbox overnight. No suspect information.
12900 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of customers arguing and potential fight ensuing. Officer made contact with the two individuals who had separated. No assault had occurred, both individuals were trespassed from the business.
17000 block of Weaver Lake Drive. Report of suspicious vehicle at a residence. Officer made contact with the individual who was a family member and it was confirmed he had permission to be at the home.
8100 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of theft in progress. Officer made contact with two individuals who were arrested for shoplifting and trespassed from business.
17000 block of 91st Avenue. Report of fraudulent activity on bankcard, incident under investigation.
12000 block of 91st Avenue. Report of cell phone ordered through the mail that was never received and tracked as delivered. No suspect information.
12800 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of shoplifter in custody. Officer responded and the suspect was arrested for theft and trespassed from the business.
17300 block of 72nd Place. Report of a small amount of money taken from vehicle overnight, no suspect information.
12400 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of a wallet stolen while individual was at place of business, fraudulent transactions were conducted. Incident is under investigation.
13500 block of Grove Drive. Report of intoxicated female at place of business who appeared ill. Officer responded and found that a family member was en route to take responsibility. The individual was released to their care.
8800 block of Garland Lane. Report of vehicle rummaged through overnight and cuts to truck’s cover. No suspect information.
12900 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of individual sitting on ground outside of vehicle in parking lot of business. Officer arrived and found the person was diabetic and feeling weak. Paramedics arrived and took over care.
11700 block of 99th Place. Report of suspicious vehicle parked in front of individual’s house, idling with the lights off. Officer made contact. Two males were arrested for possession of marijuana in motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.
10500 block of 101st Place. Report of vehicle rummaged through overnight and a GPS and small amount of money stolen. No suspect information.
9000 block of Sycamore Lane. Report of multiple attempts of unwanted communication by individual. Officer spoke to the suspect and they agreed to stop further contact.
15300 block of Grove Circle. Report of several fraudulent transactions on individual’s credit card. Incident is under investigation.
8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of theft in progress. Officer responded and the suspect was arrested for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassed from the store.
9100 block of Annapolis Lane. Report of harassing text messages and phone calls. Officer responded but the individual refused to provide further information; advised to call if future problems.
8800 block of County Road 101. Report of muskrat on the playground. Officer responded and transported the animal to nearby swamp.
8100 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of shoplifter in custody. Officer responded, suspect arrested for misdemeanor theft and trespassed from the business.
9400 block of Lancaster Lane. Report of damaged mailbox. No suspect information.
9300 block of Inland Lane. Report of possibly intoxicated neighbor causing a disturbance at individual’s residence. Officer responded and found the individual had returned home and there was no further assistance requested.
7800 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of narcotics complaint. Officer made contact and found the individual had a small amount of marijuana, staff requested the individuals leave the premise, and they were evicted without incident.
During this time period there were 36 property damage traffic accidents and one property damage injury traffic accident.
