Burglary, Forgery, Suspicious Person: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of some of the incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of April 1-7, 2018.
12400 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of business alarm. Officer responded, female found inside of closed business with multiple items of merchandise in her possession. The suspect arrested for burglary and false information to police and an outstanding warrant for burglary.
I-94 and Main Street. Report of domestic. Officer responded and found an argument had occurred. The female party transported to her residence.
12400 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of shoplifters who had concealed items and left the store. The incident is under investigation.
13500 block of Grove Drive. Report of male harassing female party, making inappropriate remarks in parking lot of business. Officer spoke with the suspect, who admitted he had a few drinks; officer warned that his behavior could lead an arrest and advised the male to refrain from further contact with female party.
17600 block of 69th Place. Report of unwanted intoxicated person who damaged property. Officer responded and advised the individual to leave the residence. Individual taken to a nearby business to wait for a friend.
9700 block of Ives Lane. Report of suspicious vehicle parked on street in front of residence. Officer made contact, vehicle occupied by two males, who were having a conversation, nothing illegal.
8100 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of shoplifter in custody. Officer responded and found the female party had exited the business with stolen items in her purse. The suspect was arrested for theft and trespassed from the store.
6300 block of Cheshire Lane. Officer on routine patrol made contact with two individuals parked outside a home currently under construction. There was an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and the driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
13500 block of 83rd Way. Report of counterfeit money received at place of business. Incident is under investigation.
13600 block of 80th Circle. Report of shoplifting that had occurred, the suspect was observed stuffing clothing on his person and then left the business. The incident is under investigation.
12000 block of 91st Avenue. Report of suspicious person standing on front step of home who left in a vehicle shortly thereafter. Officer responded and advised homeowner to call if anything further occurred.
7700 block of Dallas Lane. Report of a knife and two radios stolen from inside of garage. No suspect information.
10000 block of Troy Lane. Report of package stolen from homeowner’s doorstep. Incident is under investigation.
12900 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of unattended cell phone stolen from inside place of business. The incident is under investigation.
11900 block of 73rd Avenue. Report of two customers fighting with each other. Officer responded and found there had been a verbal argument and an assault Incident is under further investigation.
9200 block of Zanzibar Lane. Report of disturbance on bus. Officer responded and found the individual had confronted the driver about an issue and then refused to get off. The party was advised to contact the company to have the matter resolved and to avoid personal contact.
13500 block of 87th Avenue. Report of trailer containing multiple tools stolen from driveway of residence. No suspect information.
6300 block of Vinewood Lane. Report of domestic. Officer responded and found there had been a verbal argument, nothing physical occurred. The couple then left the place of business together. No further assistance was needed.
9200 block of Lanewood Court. Report of suspicious vehicle stopping by mailboxes in the neighborhood. Officer responded and found it was an individual delivering newspapers.
12600 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of unoccupied vehicle left running in parking lot for several hours. Officer made contact with the owner who stated he had been distracted when he had arrived at work.
I-94 and 105th Avenue. Officer on routine patrol noted erratic driving conduct of vehicle. Upon contact, the driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for DWI.
9800 block of Cottonwood Lane. Report of suspicious vehicle driving up and down the block multiple times and the person had thrown objects into the yard of a residence. Officer made contact with the driver who stated he had been going by his ex-girlfriend’s house to get her to talk to him and had placed some items in her front yard. After speaking with the female party, the male party was advised to leave the area and further contact could result in criminal charges.
12400 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of theft of wallet while inside business and financial transaction card fraud. The incident is under investigation.
8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of individual observed shoplifting. Officer responded and the suspect was arrested for theft and trespassed from the business.
12500 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of a group of juveniles causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the business when asked by staff. Officer responded and the individuals continued to yell and swear. They were issued trespass notices and a parent arrived to transport them from the property.
During this time period there were 41 property damage traffic accidents and eight property damage injury traffic accidents.
