Snakes in the Yard, Text Messages, Burglary: MGPD Incident Report

A synopsis of some of the incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of April 22-28, 2018.
9600 block of 63rd Avenue. Report of commercial burglary. Officer responded and found a rock was used to smash a window and gained access. Appeared suspect attempted to steal the till. Incident is under further investigation.
11900 block of 92nd Avenue. Report of vehicle stolen from driveway overnight. The vehicle was recovered locked and unoccupied in another location with several items missing. The incident is under further investigation.
9800 block of Troy Lane. Report of individual who had fallen off ladder. Officer responded along with paramedics who transported the victim to the hospital for further care.
I-94 & Maple Grove Parkway. Officer on routine patrol observed traffic violation. Contact with the driver resulted in an arrest for driving after suspension and possession of shoplifting gear.
of Peony Court. Report of mail stolen and reported recovered in another
jurisdiction. Several bank checks had been forged. The incident is under
13900 block of 85th Place. Report of several garter snakes in back yard of residence. Officer responded and homeowner was advised to contact pest control.
Boulevard & Revere Lane. Officer on routine patrol observed traffic
violation. Contact with the occupants of the vehicle resulted in the subsequent
arrest of three individuals for possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
11800 block of Fountains Way. Report of money stolen out of purse at place of employment. No suspect information.
8900 block of Vinewood Lane. Report of threat. Officer responded and found neighbors had a dispute about money owed and one had made threats during the disagreement. No charges were made and advised to resolve in civil manner.
12700 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of suspect who had left the store without paying for merchandise. Incident is under further investigation.
80th Circle. Report of harassing text messages received on social
media from unknown individual. Recommended to block the person, report it to the
site and contact law enforcement if it continues.
9300 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of damage to vehicle. Officer responded and found owner had discovered a hole in the back window and dents and scratches on the body. No suspect information
9600 block of Grove Circle. Report of individual threatening to slash tires on another person's vehicle who asked for extra patrol. No property damage occurred.
of Jefferson Highway. Report of vehicle stolen from outside place of
employment. Incident is under further investigation.
of County Road 30. Report of traffic complaint in parking lot of business.
Officer responded and the driver was subsequently arrested for 2nd
8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of two suspects who left the store without paying for merchandise. The incident is under further investigation.
During this time period, there were 21 property damage traffic accident and nine property damage injury traffic accidents.
