Maple Grove Senior High CenterStage 8 presents a musical revue in May, focusing on vocal and instrumental performance and dance to highlight the theme "Once Upon A Time".

"What makes CenterStage stand out is the autonomy we give to the kids to make this variety style show reflect their own individual and collective personality. I’m thrilled we have collaborated with District 279 school district to create both a kid and a junior cast this year," MGSH Choir Teacher and Director Beth Hellstedt said, according to a press release. “We love bringing the community into our show – more importantly it is fun to shape and meet future CenterStage stars!”

The first story during the performance focuses on a children's adventure tale, the second a hero/villain scenario followed by a third story telling the tale of life as a Maple Grove Senior High freshman, sophomore, junior or senior.

From songs spanning several genres, student orchestra, colorful set design, and changing mood throughout the performance along with the voices of the 130 person student cast.

All performances take place in the Maple Grove Senior High auditorium, located at 9800 Fernbrook Lane North.

Performances are 7-9:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19. Tickets are $8 per adult; $6 for students (K-12) and seniors (65+). Ticket information:
