Burglary, Suspicious Activity, Fraud: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of some of the incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of May 6-12, 2018.
9600 block of 63rd Avenue. Report of harassment. Officer responded and found that following a traffic altercation in a parking lot an individual had returned with a truck and threatened to tow the reporting party’s vehicle. When informed he would be calling the police, the man left. Unable to locate the suspect.
Highway 610 and Zachary Lane. Officer on routine patrol observed vehicle speeding. Upon contact with the driver, the individual was subsequently arrested for third degree DWI.
6700 block of Quantico Lane. Report of vehicle broken into overnight. Officer responded and found personal papers left inside had been stolen. No suspect information.
14100 block of Territorial Road. Report of burglary. Officer responded and found that trailer at construction site had been broken into but nothing appeared missing. No suspect information.
8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of theft in progress at retail store. Officer responded and the suspect was subsequently arrested for misdemeanor theft.
6700 block of Fish Lake. Report of suspicious activity. Officer responded and found two boys were making a fort in the woods. Advised they would need to stop as it was private property and they complied.
Hemlock Lane and I-694. Officer on routine patrol observed vehicle with equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver who was subsequently arrested for fifth degree possession of a controlled substance.
13300 block of Bass Lake Road. Report of fraud. Officer made contact and found the victim had purchased audio equipment from two males in parking lot of business which he discovered were damaged upon bringing them home. Incident is under further investigation.
11300 block of Fountains Drive. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found two males had taken liquor without attempting to pay. Incident is under further investigation.
8000 block of Norwood Lane. Report of property damage. Officer responded and found that spark plug wires had been cut on vehicle overnight. No suspect information.
County Road 30 and Larch Lane. Officer on routine patrol observed vehicle driving erratically. Contact was made with the driver who was subsequently arrested for third degree DWI.
9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of irate customer refusing to leave. Officer responded and the individual was initially uncooperative. When advised to contact management, then left without further incident.
12900 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of wallet stolen from duffle bag inside of business. Incident is under further investigation.
12900 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of disturbance at business. Officer responded and found two customers had been arguing with staff about their bill. Manager handled the situation and there were no further issues.
11300 block of Fountains Drive. Report of wallet stolen from unlocked vehicle parked outside of business. No suspect information.
11800 block of Fountains Way. Report of two customers involved in dispute and one threatened the other. Officers made contact with the individuals who were separated for the evening. No charges.
During this time period there were 23 property damage traffic accidents and two property damage injury traffic accidents.
