The city of Maple Grove recently hosted a dinner and program for over 25 state commissioners and senior level staff, along with numerous local business and community leaders. The event was a wrap-up of a day-long tour of businesses across Central Minnesota by the state delegation as a part of the Minnesota Business First Stop program and its annual Commissioners on Wheels outing.
“Minnesota is focused on helping businesses succeed, and Minnesota Business First Stop is a prime example of that commitment,” DEED Commissioner Shawntera Hardy said. “We help foster a business-friendly climate in Minnesota by personalizing relationships between businesses and state agency professional staff as well as among the commissioners of the participating agencies.”
As part of the evening’s program, several local medical-tech businesses shared the work their companies are doing. In addition, a representative of the I-94 Coalition highlighted that organization’s efforts.
“Hosting the event offered an opportunity for the city to showcase the advanced work that is happening in Maple Grove within the health technology industry, along with emphasizing the transportation needs of the community," Maple Grove Mayor Mark Steffenson stated.
