Motorists driving on eastbound Highway 610 in Maple Grove can expect single lane traffic between I-94 and Elm Creek Boulevard during a "month-long project to construct concrete a median barrier," according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The project is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24 and continue 24 hours a day throughout the construction of a "concrete center median barrier between the eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 610 over County Road 81 and the BNSF Railroad tunnel," according to MnDOT.

Weather permitting, the project is anticipated to be completed by the end of October.
