Following a public hearing, the Maple Grove City Council approved an on-sale/Sunday sale intoxicating liquor license for CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar at the Oct. 1 meeting

The approval of the license brought the restaurant another step closer to opening new Maple Grove location at 12734 Elm Creek Boulevard.

“We’re really excited to be part of the Maple Grove community,” CRAVE General Manager Justin Gretts told the city council at the Oct. 1 meeting

Councilmember Phil Leith provided comments about alcohol compliance checks done by the city and asked about the policies for CRAVE’s alcohol service. Gretts talked about the training and carding process as well as the attendance at the city’s training recently.

Councilmember Hanson questioned when the restaurant would be open.

“Tentatively, we’re set to open on Nov. 13,” Gretts responded, later commenting “as long as construction goes as planned.”

“We’re very excited to have you in town,” Councilmember Karen Jaeger said.
