Vandalism, Burglary, Theft: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 3, 2018 in Maple Grove.

October 28
8600 block of Pineview Lane. Report of intoxicated individual leaving business in vehicle. Officer responded, an adult female was arrested for DWI. 

11500 block of Fountains Drive. Report of shoplifting. Officer found several guitars were stolen and the suspects left the scene in a vehicle. Unable to locate, the incident is under investigation. 

October 29
Weaver Lake Road and 83rd Way. Officer on routine patrol observed vehicle with equipment violation.  Contact made with the driver who was arrested for driving after revocation and no insurance.

11800 block of Fountains Way. Report of welfare check. Officer made contact with intoxicated male sitting outside of business, who had called dispatch with concerns about his ex-girlfriend who was not present. He was transported to his home nearby. No further assistance needed.

6400 block of Ranchview Lane. Report of harassment. Officer responded and found female had been receiving harassing text messages from ex-husband.  Advised female of harassment/restraining order procedures.

October 30
15300 block of 68th Avenue. Report of garbage can fire. Officer responded and found small flames in can near garage, which was extinguished. The fire department arrived on scene to ensure there were no remnants. Small amount of damage to siding.
 
11900 block of Central Parkway. Report of vandalism. Officer responded and found unknown individual had slashed the tires on victim’s vehicle. No suspect information.

I-94. Officer on routine patrol made contact with occupant of vehicle who was found to have multiple active warrants. The suspect was arrested. 

October 31
6400 block of Sycamore Lane. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer made contact and found several tools had been stolen. No suspect information.

12900 block of 63rd Avenue. Report of medical. Officer responded and found severely intoxicated male who needed medical attention. Paramedics arrived to transport the individual to the hospital for further care.

17400 block of 78th Avenue. Report of vandalism. Officer made contact and found residence had been egged by juveniles. Juveniles were located and agreed to clean up the damage in lieu of criminal charges. No further assistance needed by police.

November 1
6200 block of Magda Drive. Officer on routine patrol conducted traffic stop following observation of traffic violations. The driver was arrested for DWI.

8100 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of theft in progress. Officers made contact with the suspect as he was preparing to leave in a vehicle. The adult male was arrested for theft and trespassed from the business.

12900 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of theft. Officer responded and found backpack and contents had been stolen while left unattended; no suspect information.

November 2
11500 block of Arbor Lakes Parkway. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer responded and found cash and credit cards had been stolen from unlocked vehicle and attempted fraudulent charges. No suspect information.

11900 block of Central Park Way. Report of vandalism. Officer responded and found tires had been slashed on vehicle parked outside of building. No suspect information.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of theft in progress. Officer made contact with the suspect who was walking out of the store and was theft and trespassed from the business.

November 3
12900 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of vandalism. Officer responded and found graffiti had been written in the restroom of the business. No suspect information.

I-94 & Weaver Lake Road. Officer on routine patrol observed vehicle commit traffic violation. Contact was made with the driver who was arrested for DWI and an outstanding felony warrant.

6400 block of Eagle Lake Drive. Report of burglary. Officer responded and found suspect had broken into home and stolen tools. The incident is under investigation.

During this time period there were 22 property damage traffic accidents and four property damage injury traffic accidents.
