Harassment, Animal Complaint, Theft: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1, 2018 in Maple Grove.

November 25
11800 block of Fountains Way. Report of assault. Officer responded and found physical altercation had occurred between three adult males. Incident is under investigation.

9600 block of Merrimac Lane. Report of 911 hang-up. Officer responded and found homeowner had asked three individuals causing disturbance to leave.  A ride was provided to a friend’s home nearby. 

15300 block of Grove Circle. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found adult female exited the store with unpaid items. She was arrested for theft and trespassed from the business.

November 26
9900 block of 101st Avenue. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer responded and found locked vehicle had been damaged due to attempt at forced entry. No suspect information.

13600 block of 80th Circle. Report of suspicious activity. Officer responded, the alleged male who was reported to be tampering with a vehicle, worked for the company that was repossessing the vehicle.

15800 block of Grove Circle. Report of theft. Officer responded and found victim’s purse had been stolen from unattended shopping cart. The purse was recovered inside the store, the wallet and contents missing and fraudulent transactions had occurred in several businesses. The incident is under investigation.

November 27
9500 block of Blackoaks Lane. Report of harassment. Officer responded and found employee had been receiving harassing emails from an individual due to the business denying a service.  Suspect was contacted and apologized and agreed to stop. 

8900 block of Willowby Xing. Report of fraud. Officer made contact and found individual’s bankcard had been fraudulently used in another jurisdiction. No suspect information.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of shoplifting. Officer made contact with two adult female suspects and found they had also stolen merchandise from other stores nearby. They were arrested for theft and possession of shoplifting gear.

November 28
7200 block of Hemlock Lane. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer made contact and found individual’s car had been broken into and a gym bag stolen. No suspect information.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of traffic complaint. Officer made contact, a road rage incident had occurred where driver of vehicle was confronted by another who then left the scene. Unable to locate the suspect.

11300 block of Fountains Drive. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded, an adult female was arrested for theft and trespassed from the business.

November 29
9300 block of Upland Lane. Report of gas drive off. Officer responded and found license plate did not match vehicle description. No further suspect information.

11800 block of Central Park Way. Report of two dogs left unattended in vehicle.  Owner arrived on scene, officer advised of state statute of dangers leaving animals in vehicle in hot or cold weather.

12500 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer responded and found while individual was inside of business, a window had been broken on vehicle and laptop stolen. No suspect information. 

November 30
7800 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer responded and found set of golf clubs and play station stolen from vehicle parked overnight in lot outside of business. The incident is under investigation.

6900 block of Ives Lane. Report of mail theft. Officer made contact and found box of food had been stolen from front step of residence. No suspect information.

I-94 and Maple Grove Parkway Report of traffic complaint. Officer responded and observed vehicle driving erratically. Contact was made with the driver who was arrested for DWI and possession of controlled substance.

December 1
12800 block of Bass Lake Road. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer made contact and found window had been broken on vehicle and purse stolen containing cash and cards while victim was inside business. Fraudulent activity was attempted. The incident is under further investigation.

13800 block of Grove Drive. Report of gas drive off. Officer responded and found vehicle had left the business without paying. The incident is under investigation.

11800 block of Fountains Way. Report of assault.  Officer responded, found two adult females had a verbal altercation which possibly resulted in physical interaction. The incident is under investigation.

During this time period there were 36 property damage traffic accidents and five property damage injury traffic accidents.
