Neighbor Dispute, Fraud, Vehicle Theft: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of Dec. 16-22, 2018 in Maple Grove.

December 16

13800 block of Grove Drive. Report of fight. Officer responded and found four females had been involved in an altercation. It was not determined who was the primary aggressor and none of the parties wanted to pursue charges. No further assistance needed.

ecember 17

13300 block of Maple Knoll Way. Report of vehicle theft. Officer responded and found the keys had been left inside and car stolen. It was later recovered in another jurisdiction. The incident is under investigation.

12300 block of 89th Place. Report of property damage. Officer made contact and found vehicle had been keyed while parked overnight in driveway. No suspect information.

December 18

Weaver Lake Road and Dunkirk Lane. Officer on routine patrol observed driver commit traffic violation. Contact was made and the individual was arrested for DWI and careless driving.

9600 block of Merrimac Lane. Report of fraud. Officer made contact and found individual had purchased tickets online, but did not receive them and the person selling the tickets would no longer communicate. The incident is under investigation.

December 19

10300 block of Boundary Creek Terrace. Report of theft of mail. Officer responded and found package had been stolen from front porch of residence. No suspect information.

Highway 169 and 63rd Avenue. Officer on routine patrol observed vehicle traveling erratically.  Contact was made with the driver who was  arrested for DWI and possession of controlled substance.

December 20

8100 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of assist needed. Officer arrived on scene and was advised that an individual had been asked to leave the business but needed transportation.  Officer provided a ride to nearby location.

16400 block of County Road 30. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer responded and found license plates had been stolen from vehicle while parked outside place of employment. No suspect information.

December 21

16500 block of 77th Circle. Report of medical. Officer responded and found individual was ill and needed assistance. Paramedics arrived to transport victim to hospital for further care.

12900 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found electronics had been stolen and the suspects exited the building and ran off. The incident is under investigation.

December 22

13500 block of Grove Drive. Officer on routine patrol observed equipment violation on vehicle. Contact with the driver indicated the adult male was intoxicated. He was arrested for DWI and careless driving.

9300 block of Lanewood Lane. Report of neighbor dispute. Officer responded and found disagreement occurred regarding parking of vehicles by mailbox. There was no current violation and both parties were advised with compromise.

During this time period there were 23 property damage traffic accidents and one property damage injury traffic accidents.
