Burglary, Harassment, Theft of Service: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of Dec. 23-29, 2018 in Maple Grove.
11800 block of 90th Avenue. Report of noise complaint. Officer responded and found there was a group of young people gathered inside of residence playing loud music. Verbal warning given.
Peony Lane and County Road 30. Officer on routine patrol made contact with vehicle upon observing equipment violation. The driver was arrested for 5th degree possession of controlled substance and driving after revocation.
9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of welfare check. Officer responded and found adult
male along with son who left a business and his cell phone was inoperable. Another family
member was contacted to provide a ride home.
11200 block of 82nd Place. Report of burglary. Officer responded and found occupied home
had been broken into, wallet with contents and two laptops were stolen. The incident is under
9300 block of Deerwood Lane. Report of customer trouble. Officer responded and
found female party was involved in a dispute with driver which had escalated. Other
transportation was arranged.
7800 block of Main Street. Report of harassment. Officer made contact and found male driver
had shouted obscene comments to female on two occasions while outside of place of
employment. Unable to locate vehicle, advised to call if any further interactions.
15300 block of Grove Circle. Report of shoplifter in custody. Officer responded and adult
female was arrested and trespassed from the business.
12600 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of disorderly conduct. Officer made contact and
found male party had been asked to leave the business and he was causing a disturbance.
Due to the individual’s level of intoxication and unable to reach anyone to care for him, he
was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
7000 block of Magda Drive. Report of property damage. Officer responded and found vehicle
parked in underground garage had been damaged. No suspect information.
11300 block of Fountains Drive. Report of possible shoplifting in progress. Officer responded and three females were arrested for theft and possession of shoplifting gear.
7800 block of Main Street. Report of suspicious activity. Officer made contact with occupants
of vehicle parked outside of business. The male driver admitted to consuming alcohol
and displayed signs of intoxication. He was arrested for DWI.
11800 block of 73rd Avenue. Report of theft of service. Officer responded and found six juvenile males had left the restaurant without paying. The incident is under investigation.
During this time period there were 58 property damage traffic accidents.
