Comfort Matters Heating and Cooling, Inc. Shares Support for Nonprofits During Giving Matters Campaign

Feb 23, 2019 10:04AM ● By Wendy Erlien
Providing a sense of well-being to households is second nature to Maple Grove based Comfort Matters Heating & Cooling, Inc. throughout the winter and summer months.

"Our whole team has a natural desire to just help other people," Comfort Matters Heating and Cooling Owner Corey Hickmann said an email to Maple Grove Voice, stating it's a "big reason" why the staff is in the heating and cooling business.

That desire to help others has branched out to the "Giving Matters" program to support local nonprofits. Employees nominated organizations and voted for the top three. Those three face off against one another in a friendly competition for cash donations - with community members casting their votes.

"We get a lot of groups coming to us looking for donation. This was a way to put them together and create a win-win for the company and local groups. The money is a big part but getting the charity name out on the street is almost bigger," Hickmann said. "Our techs hand out flyers on all calls, we push attention to it on social media which gets the general public to learn who the charity is and help support them."

For their first "Giving Matters" campaign, community members can vote online by March 22, 2019 for either Rivers of Hope, United Legacy or A Night to Remember Prom to receive one of three donations.
