Vehicle Theft, Disorderly Conduct, Shoplifting: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of Feb. 10-16, 2019 in Maple Grove.

February 10
6200 block of Quinwood Lane. Report of fight. Officer responded and found male and female
had an altercation inside taxi. Wanted neither to pursue charges; however, the female party
became hostile, she was arrested for disorderly conduct and released on scene. She was assisted into her home nearby and the male party was given a ride to nearby business.

14000 block of 85th Place. Report of vehicle fire. Officer responded along with the fire
department who extinguished the flames of the unoccupied vehicle.

February 11
9200 block of Chesshire Lane. Report of noise complaint. Officer responded and found
neighbor was using a snow blower at an early hour and woke nearby household. The individual stated he was clearing the driveway for an elderly couple, who had to leave for airport; no further assistance needed.

17900 block of 96th Avenue. Report of theft of vehicle. Officer responded and found vehicle had been left running in garage with door open. No suspect information.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and two adult females were arrested for theft and trespassed from the business.

February 12
8600 block of Valley Forge Lane. Report of disorderly conduct. Officer responded and found employee had caused a disturbance and made threats upon termination of employment. The employee was trespassed from the business.

6600 block of Yucca Lane. Report of vehicle theft. Officer made contact and found vehicle had been stolen. It was later recovered in another jurisdiction and the suspect was arrested.

February 13
7900 block of Ranchview Lane. Report of theft. Officer responded and found new debit card had been stolen from mailbox with subsequent fraudulent charges occurring. No suspect information.

95th Avenue & Ranchview Lane. Report of property damage. Officer responded and found driver had parked vehicle near water tower when a large amount of ice broke off and shattered the windshield. Assistance provided to victim.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found adult male had stolen items and left the scene in a vehicle. The suspect was located nearby and theft and trespassed from the business.

February 14
6200 block of Eagle Lake Drive. Report of suspicious activity. Officer responded and found unknown vehicle was driving repeatedly through neighborhood. Contact was made with the driver who was trying to locate an address for a job. Directions provided.

February 15
13300 block of Grove Drive. Report of vehicle stuck in snow at business and occupant appeared to be sleeping. Officer responded and found the adult male driver was intoxicated and was arrested for DWI.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found
female had left business with unpaid merchandise and drove off. The incident is under investigation.

February 16
9300 block of Deerwood Lane. Report of welfare check. Officer made contact with
individual in driver’s seat who appeared to be sleeping while vehicle was left running in parking lot of business. The adult male was arrested for DWI.

13300 block of Maple Knoll Way. Report of possible domestic. Officer made contact with
resident who stated he had friends over to watch TV and there was no altercation. No assistance needed.

During this time period there were 38 property damage traffic accidents and two
property damage injury traffic accidents.
