Three Maple Grove youth will be appearing in the upcoming production of "Owl Moon" at Stages Theatre Company  in Hopkins. The performance, in collaboration with Escalate Dance and Theatre Studio in Osseo, will be opening March 8.

The youth appearing in "Owl Moon" include:
  • Annaliese Leab, making her Stages debut, in the role of "Fox." The fourth grader has been a dancer at Escalate Dance and Theater Studio since four-years-old.
  • Ryan Pierce will be appearing in the role of "Rabbit."  It is her first product at Stages Theatre for the eighth grader, whom is also a dancer at Escalate Dance and Theatre Studio.
  • Kate Ross received the role of "Raccoon" in the production. The Wayzata Central Middle School seventh grader also dances with Escalate Studios.
The ballet-inspired story is based on the Caldecott Medal book by Jane Yolen, tells the story of a wintery woods where a father and child take a walk hoping to spot an owl and are surprised by what they find behind every tree.
