Updated April 26, 2019 - After months of construction, Burn Boot Camp - Maple Grove announced it is "officially opening for workouts" on Monday, April 29, according to their Facebook page.

"We know you have questions, are anxious to see the gym and want to learn more about what to expect at Burn so we're hosting a Grand Opening Orientation on Sunday, April 28th @ 3:00 pm (with doors opening @ 2:00)," the business wroteBurn Boot Camp -Maple Grove is located at 14500 Weaver Lake Road (former IHop building).

March 10, 2019 - After years of being vacant, the former IHOP site in Maple Grove is seeing new life with the upcoming planned opening of a new business - Burn Boot Camp.

Franchise partner owners and Eden Prairie residents Tina Hegna and her husband Harlan anticipate opening the Maple Grove Burn Boot Camp location in late-April 2019.

Tina started her journey with Burn Boot Camp several years ago as a member in Eden Prairie – eventually leading her to the role of franchisee owner. The Maple Grove site, located at 14500 Weaver Lake Road, is anticipated to span just under 5,000 square feet.

“As a mom of twin boys who also works full time outside the home, there was a moment a couple years ago that I realized there needed to be more time made for myself, and more time put into my own physical fitness again,” Tina said. “I slowly chiseled away at getting into a routine, but it wasn't until I tried Burn Boot Camp [in Eden Prairie] for the first time a few months later that I was really committed to the concept of investing in myself.”

One of the focuses of the business includes 45-minute workouts, no preregistration or waiting lists. In addition to unlimited camps, Burn Boot Camp offers youth related programming as well.

“The environment was nothing like what I had experienced before and the community of support from other empowered women really opened my eyes,” Tina said. “I began to realize this was more than just a gym. It was after digesting more about what Burn Boot Camp's mission and values are, how they aligned with our own, and how many lives were changing before my eyes, that my husband and I knew Burn Boot Camp needed to be an even bigger part of our lives.”

They were provided with a few territory choices by Burn Boot headquarters, but were drawn to the Maple Grove area.

“We felt like Maple Grove was a city that was growing in the right direction…and the right kind of family community that could benefit from a gym like Burn Boot Camp,” Tina said.
