Maple Grove PTOSI

Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Specialists, Inc. (PTOSI) recently opened a new location in Maple Grove. The 16366 County Road 30 site is the fifth Twin Cities location for PTOSI.

PTOSI, founded and owned by physical therapists, has been providing care for more than 35 years in an independent physical therapy clinic.

"Our owners are all Fellows in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. They have worked hard to build our practice and have taught/mentored our physical therapy staff in providing the highest level of musculoskeletal care through advanced manual therapy practice and movement retraining," said Keyla Guenther, DPT at PTOSI. "We believe strongly in continuing education and development and all our therapists participate in various courses throughout the year to further advance their skills. We often hear feedback from our patients that they’ve never received this type of direct treatment before when first experiencing our hands-on techniques."
Throughout their five locations, 25 trained therapists provide services in specialties in areas such as sports related injuries, spine pain/injuries, chronic pain, orthopedic conditions, women and men’s health, Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD/TMJ), work conditioning, manual therapy, and injuries to shoulder, hip, knee, spine, foot, and ankle.
"We are very excited about our new home in Maple Grove as it is a wonderful and growing family-oriented city. Our new clinic has a great location as far as visibility and accessibility for our patients," Guenther said of the clinic which opened in January. "A couple of our staff members live in Maple Grove and are excited to share our company with their community. The therapists at our location have a variety of different skills/techniques and work with a variety of conditions. The therapists do their best to go the extra mile to help each patient meet their goals for physical therapy."
The Maple Grove clinic, which has six staff members, has four individual treatment rooms and a gym, including 10-foot-high ceilings and large windows for natural light.
"Maple Grove is an expanding family-oriented community just north of the metro area. With easy access to many of the major freeways and various healthcare providers, it is the ideal area to feature one of our PTOSI clinics," Guenther said. "We work with a number of doctors and referral sources in the North West metro area, many of whom have locations in Maple Grove. Our new clinic location allows us to be easily accessible to those providers and their patients."

In addition to working local providers, PTOSI provides direct access care, according to Guenther who stated patients don't need an order form from a doctor to see a physical therapist - although some insurances policies may require a referral.

"We can discuss what we offer in terms of physical therapy for each individual patient’s needs as well as answer questions about whether an order is needed or not," Guenther said. "We look forward to continuing to network with the providers in the Maple Grove area to help provide the highest quality of care for their patients. We also look forward to working with patients to help them move better and get back to the daily and recreational activities they love to do."
