Disorderly Conduct, Burglary, Theft of Vehicle: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of March. 10-March 16, 2019 in Maple Grove.

March 10

12700 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of disorderly conduct. Officer responded and found customer had been verbally abusive to staff and pushed another customer.  In addition to throwing an item before leaving. Advised to call if the adult female suspect returned, as the business wished to have her trespassed.

11800 block of Fountains Way. Report of unwanted person. Officer responded and found individual was intoxicated and staff had concerns about welfare when leaving the business.  Assisted the adult male with transportation home where he was able to care for himself.

Main Street ad Lakeview Drive. Officer on routine patrol observed equipment violation. Contact was made with the adult male driver of the vehicle who was arrested for DWI.

March 11

16300 block of 96th Avenue. Report of vehicle theft. Officer responded and found vehicle had been left running outside of business and an unknown individual drove off in vehicle. The incident is under investigation.

11700 block of Central Park Way. Report of burglary. Officer responded and found two firearms and several pieces of jewelry were stolen from storage unit. The incident is under investigation.

8900 block of Comstock Lane. Report of civil matter.  Officer responded and found boyfriend had used vehicle without individual’s permission following an argument.  It was determined no crime was committed and the parties involved agreed to separate for the evening.

March 12

7900 block of Kimberly Lane. Report of theft from vehicle.  Officer responded and found a pair of sunglasses and small amount of money had been stolen overnight from unlocked vehicles parked in driveway. No suspect information.

6200 block of Nathan Lane. Report of medical. Officer arrived and found individual had their hand pinned underneath tire of vehicle; neighbor had responded and driven vehicle off. Aid was administered on scene. Victim declined ambulance and was transported by private party for further medical care. 

17200 block of 80th Place North. Report of fraud.  Officer responded and found individual’s account had been used to purchase a laptop and other fraudulent activity had occurred; no suspect information.

March 13

Zachary Lane and 93rd Avenue. Officer on routine patrol observed equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver who was arrested for 5th degree possession.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found adult female had stolen items from business. The suspect was arrested for theft and trespassed from the store.

12900 block of 63rd Avenue. Report of unwanted person at business. Officer responded and found adult male had been evicted from room by intoxicated female. The individual was able to stay with another party and was advised to avoid further contact.

March 14

6200 block of Sycamore Lane. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer made contact and found victim’s purse had been stolen from vehicle parked outside of business and fraudulent transaction occurred; no suspect information.

7900 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found suspect had stolen appliance and left in vehicle. The incident is under investigation.

9600 block of 85th Avenue. Report of parking complaint at business.  Officer responded and found vehicle had been stolen in another jurisdiction; notification given to agency and towed off site.

March 15

12700 block of Elm Creek Bulevard.Report of welfare check. Officer made contact with adult male sleeping in vehicle who stated he was resting in between jobs. No assistance needed.

12700 block of 88th Avenue. Report of vehicle theft. Officer responded and found vehicle was left running in driveway when suspect drove off with it; the incident is under investigation.

16300 block of 96th Avenue. Report of theft. Officer made contact and found wallet had been lost while inside of business.  It was determined that wallet had been stolen due to fraudulent financial transactions; no suspect information.

March 16

Weaver Lake Road and East Fish Lake Road. Officer on routine patrol observed equipment violation. Contact made with the adult male driver who was arrested for possession of controlled Substance and DUI.

I-94 & 105th Avenue. Officer on routine patrol observed vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. Contact made with the adult male driver who was arrested for DWI.

9500 block of Upland Lane. Report of theft. Officer made contact and found that victim’s wallet had been stolen while at workplace and fraudulent transactions occurring. No suspect information.
