Three Maple Grove Senior High Students Earn Honors Technology, Leadership Skills

Three Maple Grove Senior High students, Stuti Arora, Sahana Vandayar, and Amulya Maripally,   recently earned honors from the National Center of Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) for their technology and leadership skills and experience. 

"These honors are given in order to help inspire young women to pursue careers in information technology,"according to ISD 279. 

Stuti Arora and Sahana Vandayar were two of 37 young women from around the state who received the 2019 Minnesota Aspirations for Women in Computing Awards honoring them for their interests and achievements related to technology.  Honorees are eligible for a variety of prizes including job shadow experiences, paid summer internship opportunities, cash rewards and more.  

The NCWIT awarded a Certificate of Distinction to Amulya Maripally. The honor was given to students who participated in a variety of technology and leadership experiences at their school.

The 2019 Aspirations in Computing Awards seventh annual ceremony was held on April 17.
