Fishing Opener 2019 In Maple Grove

The annual Minnesota fishing opener started Saturday, May 11, 2019. 

Here are a few items you might want to know about fishing in Maple Grove. 

In addition to buying online or via phone, you can purchase a fishing license at the following retailers, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. If you're 16 or older, you need to buy a fishing license. Short term and long term license options are available.

Parking is free for lake access within Three Rivers Park District (Fish Lake, Eagle Lake). However, a $6 daily or $45 season permit is required for boat trailer parking. Permits will be available at pay boxes near the boat launches and at park visitor and nature centers. Permits may also be ordered by phone at 763-559-6700, or online at
