Osseo Area Schools Provides Free Summer Meals to Eligible Youth through Federally Funded Program

During several designated weeks throughout the summer, Osseo Area Schools will provide free meals to children at four schools through the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.

"Any child 18 years of age and younger will be eligible to eat a meal if they arrive during the specific times listed below," according to an Osseo Area Schools press release. No registration is needed nor eligibility requirements.

Birch Grove Elementary (4690 Brookdale Drive N, Brooklyn Park)
Monday through Friday, June 17- July 25 (no service July 4 and July 5)
Breakfast: 8 a.m.-9:15 a.m.
Lunch: 12:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Crest View Elementary (8200 Zane Avenue N, Brooklyn Park)
Monday through Thursday, June 17 - July 25 (no service July 1-4)
Breakfast:  9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Garden City Elementary (3501 65th Ave. N, Brooklyn Center)
Monday through Friday, June 17 - July 25 (no service July 4 and July 5)
Breakfast: 8 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Zanewood Community School (7000 Zane Ave. N., Brooklyn Park)
Monday through Friday, July 8-31
Breakfast: 8:50 a.m. -9:50 a.m.
Lunch: 11:50 a.m.-12:50 p.m.

Osseo Area Learning Center (7300 Boone Ave. N, Brooklyn Park)
Monday through Friday, June 10-28
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m.-8:15 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Additionally, Osseo Area Schools will provide free meals to children who are participating in specific summer programs at Edinbrook, Osseo Middle School, Palmer Lake, Park Brook and Rice Lake Elementary. 

"Meals will be provided at no charge to all children without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and all meals will meet nutritional standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).," Osseo Area Schools stated in the press release.
