Theft, Tree Trouble, Fraud: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of some of the incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of May.19-25, 2018 in Maple Grove.
7800 block of Vinewood Lane. Report of unwanted person. Officer responded and found intoxicated male had caused a disturbance inside the business. Contact was made with the individual who was outside in his vehicle; a friend arrived to transport him home safely.
17000 block of 77th Avenue. Report of civil matter. Officer made contact with the individuals involved who had a disagreement regarding transfer of property; arrangements mediated.
8200 block of Oakview Court. Report of noise complaint. Officer made contact with the adult female who had been singing karaoke; advised of the ordinance to which she complied.
6900 block of Wedgewood Road. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer made contact and found purse had been stolen from unlocked vehicle left parked outside of business. Subsequent fraudulent credit card transactions occurring. The incident is under investigation.
14000 block of Territorial Road. Report of burglary. Officer responded and found bicycle had been stolen from underground garage by unidentified suspects. The bicycle was recovered nearby.
9600 block of 102nd Avenue. Report of harassment. Officer made contact and found individual had received harassing letter in the mail. No known suspect information.
11000 block of 82nd Place. Report of 911 hang-up. Officer responded, found young girl had accidentally made the call, and there were no problems.
13500 block of 83rd Way. Report of welfare check. Officer made contact with the occupants of vehicle who had been parked outside of business for some time. The individuals were eating their food and visiting in the vehicle, no problems.
6200 block of Eagle Lake Drive. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer responded and found vehicle registration tabs had been stolen from vehicle while parked outside of work place. No suspect information.
8100 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of shoplifting. Officer located the adult female suspect nearby who was arrested for theft and trespassed from the business.
8900 block of Sycamore Lane. Report of theft. Officer made contact and found a small tree had been stolen from yard of residence. No suspect information.
Weaver Lake Road and 83rd Way. Officer on routine patrol observed vehicle commit traffic violation. Contact was made with the adult female driver who was arrested for driving after revocation and false information.
15300 block of 65th Place. Report of animal complaint. Officer responded and found fawn lying in back yard of residence. While on scene, the doe appeared in the woods nearby, all appeared fine and no assistance needed.
16700 block of 94th Avenue. Report of welfare check. Officer made contact with individual sleeping in minivan parked outside of business. The adult male stated his girlfriend was working inside, and he was just waiting for her shift to end. There were no problems.
14000 block of 92nd Place. Report of bicycle theft. Officer made contact with individual who stated an unlocked bicycle had been stored under deck of residence and had been stolen. No suspect information.
99th Place and Saratoga Way. Report of animal complaint. Officer responded and found ducklings had fallen through a sewer grate. The sewer ran off into a pond nearby where the uninjured ducklings were subsequently located.
12800 block of 74th Avenue. Report of fraud. Officer made contact with individuals who stated their bank notified them that an attempt had been made to use their credit card fraudulently and other personal information may have been obtained. Advised regarding actions to take.
Arbor Lakes Parkway and Hemlock Lane. Officer on routine patrol observed expired tabs on vehicle. Contact was made with the drive who showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for DWI.
12300 block of 99th Avenue. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer made contact and found license plate was stolen from vehicle. No suspect information.
11800 Block of Fountains Way. Report of unwanted persons. Officer responded and found there had been an incident involving two groups of people inside the business and an argument ensued. One of the groups left the scene and no further action was requested by any of the involved parties.
During this time period there were 21 property damage traffic accidents and two property damage injury traffic accidents.
