Burglary, Suspicious Activity, Mail Theft: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

June 9Ranchview Lane and 92nd Place. Report of suspicious activity. Officers responded and found two males had been observed prowling around vehicles. Unable to locate, extra patrol provided.
I-694 and Hemlock Lane. Officer on routine patrol observed erratic driving behavior. Contact was made with adult male driver who was arrested for DWI and careless driving.
11700 block of Central Park Way. Report of burglary. Officer responded and found musical equipment had been stolen from storage closet, no suspect information.
9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and located the suspect vehicle nearby. The adult female and adult male were arrested for theft and 5th degree possession.
Yuma Way and Xene Lane. Report of vandalism. Officer responded and found graffiti had been spray painted on the sidewalk in front of residence, no suspect information.
6700 block of Troy Lane. Report of suspicious activity. Officer responded and found homeowner had heard knocking on lower level. Nothing appeared out of place and no suspect located in the vicinity.
Valley Forge Lane and 93rd Avenue. Officer on routine patrol observed equipment violation on vehicle. Contact was made with the adult male driver who indicated signs of impairment and was arrested for DWI.
16800 block of 80th Place. Report of burglary. Officer responded and found occupied residence had been entered by suspect and vehicle stolen. The incident is under investigation.
16600 block of 92nd Avenue. Report of mail theft. Officer responded and found package had been stolen from apartment entrance. The incident is under investigation.
11800 block of 73rd Avenue. Report of welfare check. Officer made contact with the adult male occupant of vehicle parked near business who stated he must have fallen asleep. No further assistance needed.
6700 block of Vicksburg Lane. Report of 911 hang-up. Officer made contact and found young child had accidentally dialed, there were no problems.
12800 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found adult female suspect had stolen merchandise from business and left the scene. The incident is under investigation.
9100 block of Zanzibar Lane. Report of suspicious activity. Officer responded and found an individual had apparently been living in a tent in a wooded area near an apartment complex. The individual was not located and the items were placed into safekeeping.
7500 block of Vinewood Court. Report of a disturbance. Officer responded and found neighbors had been involved in a verbal dispute but nothing physical had occurred. The parties agreed to separate.
17900 Block of 89th Place. Report of loud party. Officer responded and found a number of underage individuals present had been consuming alcohol and were cited.
Elm Creek Boulevard and 83rd Way. Officer on routine patrol observed erratic operation of vehicle. Contact was made with the adult male driver who was arrested for DWI and careless driving.
12500 block of 69th Avenue. Report of animal complaint. Officer responded and found a turtle in the yard of a residence. The turtle was safely transported to a nearby park and released.
18000 block of 66th Place. Report of harassment. Officer made contact and found individual had received harassing messages via social media from an ex-employee. No charges pursued at this time.
9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer made contact and found a purse containing cash was stolen from unlocked vehicle parked outside of business. No suspect information.
13300 block of Maple Knoll Way. Report of loud music. Officer responded and found group of individuals had music playing at a barbecue. Advised of city ordinance and they complied.
80th Avenue and Berkshire Lane. Report of animal complaint. Officer responded and found ducklings stuck in sewer drain. They were retrieved and safely transported to a nearby pond.
During this time period there were 28 property damage traffic accidents and one property damage injury traffic accidents.
