In its final performances, Cross Community Players presents "Mary Poppins" 7:30 p.m. July 25, 26, 27 and 2 p.m. July 28.  This production is a mixture of the books and movie.  In this unique production, the audience see's the traditional story from the point of view of the children, Michael and Jane Banks.

The performances are at Maple Grove Senior High auditorium, 9800 Fernbrook Lane North. The ticket cost is $18 per adult; $16 for seniors age 65 and older; $14 for student/child. Children under the age of 2 are free when seated on the lap of an adult. Ticket information can be found on the CCP website here:

“We wanted the audience to see themselves in the show.  We created a production that is truly a collaboration between the music and the choreography," CCP Director Jeff Anderson said. "We are lucky enough to have Ann Marie Omeish, the owner of Escalate Dance, leading up our dance numbers.  She has skillfully created and brings out the best performances from the kids in the cast to the more seasoned players. Everyone knows that Mary Poppins has her own special magic. I developed and direct this production staying true to the story, but tell it from the point of view of the Banks kids, Michael and Jane.”

Nearly 40 years ago, Cross Community Players was founded to provide show tickets and collect food/supplies at every event for families in need at CROSS Services.

Cross Community Players produces two large scale productions each year and participates in several community activities such as parades, caroling at Christmas time and providing entertainment for special events.
