Theft, Neighbor Dispute, Burglary: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of some of the incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department during the week of Aug. 25-31, 2019 in Maple Grove.

August 25

  • 9600 block of Grove Circle. Report of unwanted person. Officer responded and found two individuals had been sleeping in the lobby of the business.They were requested to leave the premise, which they did without further incident. 
  • 12300 block of Lakeview Drive. Report of suspicious person. Officer made contact and found an individual had mistakenly attempted to enter the wrong residence; there were no issues. 
  • 9500 block of Upland Lane. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer responded and found individual’s cell phone had been stolen from a vehicle parked outside of business; no suspect information. 

August 26

  • 12000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found merchandise had been stolen by five male suspects who had left the scene in a vehicle. The incident is under investigation. 
  • 13600 block of Grove Drive. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer responded and found two license plates were stolen from vehicles parked outside of place of employment; no suspect information. 
  • 9600 block of Alvarado Lane. Report of neighbor disturbance.  Officer responded and found individual dispersing pest control by townhome association. Advised there was no occurrence of illegal activity. 

August 27

  • 98th Avenue and Zachary Lane. Officer on routine patrol observed illegal driving activity. Contact was made with the adult male driver who was arrested for DWI.  
  • Hemlock Lane and Arbor Lakes Parkway. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer made contact and found wallet had been stolen from unlocked vehicle parked by construction site with subsequent fraudulent activity; no suspect information. 
  • 13500 block of Territorial Road. Report of burglary. Officer responded and found a window had been broken on business and items stolen; no suspect information. 

August 28

  • 12200 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of shoplifting. Officer responded and located the suspect nearby who was in possession of stolen merchandise. The adult female was arrested and trespassed from the business. 
  • Fish Lake Road and Hemlock Lane. Officer on routine patrol made contact with driver of vehicle for an equipment violation. The adult male suspect was arrested for DWI. 
  • 12300 block of Main Street. Report of no pay. Officer made contact with a taxi driver who stated he had brought female passenger to the transit ramp and she refused to pay and left the scene. Unable to locate the individual. 

August 29

  • 7800 Kingsview Lane. Report of neighbor dispute. Officer responded and found individual was concerned that neighbor’s security cameras were an invasion of privacy. It was determined there was no illegal activity based on statutes. 
  • 7400 block of Ranier Lane. Report of domestic. Officer responded and found a verbal dispute had occurred between a couple but nothing physical; advised to separate for the evening.
  • 16500 block of 96th Avenue. Officer on routine patrol made contact with the driver of the vehicle who was arrested for possession of controlled substance and outstanding warrants.

August 30

  • 8000 block of Main Street. Report of disturbance. Officer responded and found a couple had been involved in a verbal altercation inside the business. Both parties were asked to leave and did so without further incident.
  • 11800 block of Fountains Way. Report of disturbance. Officer responded and found an employee had been disorderly and then left the scene. Contact was made with the individual who was trespassed from the business. 

August 31

  • 13300 block of Grove Drive. Report of theft from vehicle. Officer made contact and found money and credit card had been stolen from a vehicle parked outside the place of employment; no suspect information.
  • 10000 block of Kilmer Lane. Report of house fire. Officer responded and found attached garage engulfed in flames; all occupants had safely vacated the residence. Assisted the fire department who took over the scene.
