For the month of September, the Maple Grove Fire Department responded to 67 incidents.
Here's a synopsis of some of those incidents.

September 1

10000 block of Kilmer Lane North. Building fire. Responded to address and found timber outside the garage smoldering. Removed section and hosed down the area. No other issues noted.  This was a rekindle of the garage fire on Aug. 31.

September 2

11000 block of Pheasant Lane North. Lightning strike, no fire. Lightning hit two trees, one at 7039 Yorktown and the other at 11089 Pheasant Lane North. Crews checked the residence and found no signs of smoke or fire, but owner reported that some electronics were not working properly. When entering the residence, noticed a smell and haze of smoke.  Crews found no damage to the outside of the house. It appears the lightning traveled from tree to tree and entered the Pheasant Lane address through the aluminum dryer vent.  The thermal imaging camera found no readings indicating fire inside the walls of the residence.

September 13

Called to an oil spill at 95th and Zachary.  Upon arriving found an oil spill at the intersection.  Applied two buckets of floor dry to absorb the oil.

September 18

Reporting party had been in the backyard and smelled natural gas. Strong occasional smell of natural gas at the 18000 block of Bass Lake Road observed by crews on scene.  CenterPoint called to the scene to investigate.

September 26

Revere Lane North and Highway 610. Passenger vehicle fire on Highway 610, found the vehicle fully engulfed. Crews extinguished the fire, cleared debris from road, and cleared.

County Road 101. Burnt food. Called to a kitchen alarm, and requested to cancel. Burnt food on stove, no need for ventilation. Alarm reset by maintenance.

September 29

9300 block of Ranchview Lane North. Building fire, arrived on scene to a four car detached garage. Police had flushed the hydrant prior to fire’s arrival. Hydrant connected and extinguished remaining fire, cleared scene.

7100 block of Merrimac Lane North. Lightning strike (no fire), house hit by lightning, with three circuit breakers tripped. Crews used a thermal imaging camera throughout house to look for hotspots, nothing found. CenterPoint notified and arrived on scene.
