A new senior living community, Havenwood of Maple Grove, broke ground Friday, Nov. 1.

Located at the intersection of County Road 101 and Bass Lake Road (near Lord of Life Lutheran Church), the 150 apartment project will include independent and assisted living, memory care, and care suite units.

Once built, the community will have independent living, assisted living, memory care, and care suites. Onsite amenities, according to representatives, include a golf simulator, onsite children's daycare, restaurant, a salon and a spa, a fitness center, an arts and crafts room, and more.

"Maple Grove is an ideal location for Roers’ sixth Havenwood Senior Community,” Roers Companies co-founder Kent Roers said in a press release. “It boasts a population of over 71,000 people and posted a first-quarter 2019 apartment vacancy rate of just 2.0%, and it has a growing senior population as baby boomers have continued to retire each month consistently since 2016. The metro area itself expects to see population growth — especially among the 70–74 age group with a 63.7% increase.”

Havenwood of Maple Grove is slated to open the spring of 2021 and managed by Walker Methodist.

Project representatives Roers Companies (owner and developer), CBS Construction (general contractor), Kaas Wilson (architect), and Walker Methodist (community manager) representatives were on hand for the ground breaking.
