Maple Syrup Festival at Eastman

From 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 18 at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Visit the sugar bush, tap a maple tree and collect fresh sap. Warm up by a steaming cauldron and watch sap transform into syrup (weather permitting). Play games, taste maple syrup, and learn how to make maple sugar. Drop in anytime. Cost is $5 and there is a 20 percent discount for groups of four or more. This program is open to all ages and children 17 years and younger must be accompanied by a registered adult.
