Maple Grove Farmers Market Opening Day

Description:

The Maple Grove Farmers Market opens for its 14th season on 3-7 p.m. Thursday, June 15 at the Maple Grove Community Center. The season continues every Thursday through Oct. 19.

Vendor-grown and vendor-made food products are available each week.

“Our goal is to provide a full range of locally grown items for your family’s table,” Market Manager Kirsten Bansen Weigle said, “We hope you’ll enjoy the sights and sounds of the market and make the market your summertime grocery store."

The market, a city of Maple Grove initiative, attracts approximately 2,000 shoppers each Thursday afternoon.

All vendors accept cash, some accept check and/or credit cards. The market offers a token system for visitors without cash. Visit the information booth to buy tokens with a credit or debit card. Tokens spend like cash throughout the market. $20 minimum purchase. Tokens never expire. The market is also accepts SNAP/EBT cards—no minimum purchase required.

Kids ages 4-12 can sign up for the free Power of Produce Kids’ Club. They receive a reusable shopping bag upon sign up (while supplies last) plus a $2 token to purchase their own fresh fruits and vegetables each time they visit the market, all season long.
